This month, the Department of Education will issue new regulations on Title IX through a process known as “notice and comment.” Through notice and comment, members of the public have the opportunity to provide their input on proposed regulations. The department must respond to this input.

Notice and comment is an elitist and wonky process that favors well-resourced organizations, such as schools and expensive law firms– not those typically utilizing Title IX.
